	Convert your own Water Feature to Solar Power
	Want to convert a current Water Feature to Solar Power If you currently have a water feature and would like to convert it to solar power or if you would like to make your own water feature with a solar powered pump, let us obtain a quote for you. We require a few specifications in order to be able to make a pump and panel kit for your water feature. Please answer the following list of questions to describe your water feature: What height do you need to pump the water? Will the water be pumped at an angle, vertical or horizontally, how far do you need to pump it? Do you want the water to spray up out of the fountain or just re-circulate in it? Do you have a size limit for the pump in order to fit into your fountain? Do you want both the pump and solar panel to be underwater in the fountain? If the panel is out of the water, how far away from the fountain do you want to put the solar panel? Do you want the fountain to have a battery back-up so it works at night or when it’s cloudy? 	Sunjet pumps not running or making a noise ? Try the following troubleshooting tips to determine any possible problems that you may have: The Sunjet fountains will not work if it is cloudy day, for optimum performance ensure that the solar panel is placed in a sunny location out of the shade of trees, obstructions or behind glass or a screen. Ensure the glass of the solar panel is cleaned regularly to prevent algae / dirt build up dirty panel will block sunlight effecting performance of the panel. Ensure there are no cracks in the glass or moisture behind the panel (spots behind the glass) this could indicate corrosion /damaged panel. Check the wire going into the solar panel for cracks /damage. Check the connectors of the wire between the pump and panel, check for corrosion in the plugs, if water or corrosion present, clean and dry and reconnect and re-test. Check the wire condition for damage. Check the o-rings in the connector for damage- if damaged replacements maybe required ensuring no further water ingress. Check the pump filter – clean the mesh to ensure water can flow to the pump. Check the housing – remove the base of the pump - check for blockages, ensure the impeller is clean with no sediment or dirt build up that prevents it from turning freely. Check the spout and filter heads for blockages. Air blockages are a usual cause for noisy pumps and can be removed by holding the entire pump underwater while the pump is running until air bubbles are expelled.
