Ecoflap is a environmentally friendly retrofit letterbox draught proofing device that will banish draughts through your existing letter box .
Ecoflap letter box draught proofing device uses the wind to blow it SHUT! so is completely draught proof and will never blow open.
The Ecoflap is manufactured with no springs or other components to break, as a common problem is for springs and components to become faulty and thus cause a rattling and loosely fitting letter plate which allows cold air to come into the house. With Ecoflap if the outside letter plate becomes faulty Ecoflap will still protect you from draughts.

The Ecoflap can be fitted without expensive changes to your letter box, it'll work with your existing outside plate and draught proof a letter box hole from Victorian sizes up to and just over the modern day standard sizes. Ecoflap is adaptable to fit various sizes of delivery items through the letterbox up to A4 size thick newspapers and magazines.

With up to 27% heat loss occurring through the letterbox the Ecoflap will help you to keep your home warm and save money on energy bills and pay for its self many times over.

Installation of the Ecoflap is very easy all you need is a screwdriver and screws for wood doors or if fitting to a plastic or metal door silcon sealer (not supplied) The Ecoflap is now only available in White.

Why won't the letter box inside flap blow open?
The product is finely balanced - the plate is biased so that the opening force is counteracted by a
greater closing force.

Why is it draught proof ?
The plate won't rattle, either by wind force or passing traffic rumbling by, thus no cold air will filter in,
or no heat will escape.

Why is it classed as Eco-friendly?
It will contribute towards saving energy costs. The letter box can be a "silent culprit" for losing heat.
It has been quoted that up to 27% heat can be lost. From another point of view, it can be made from
recyclable material e.g. wood.

I have a favourite plate on the outside of my letter box. Will it work with this sizewise?
Modified Measurements:
There is a change to original sizes - the width increases from 255mm (10") to 295mm (11.5"). This
will now also cover most bolts that secure front letter flaps.
There is now also a 20mm (0.75") wide flange around the Ecoflap to cover any uneven/or untidy
hole cuts, once the existing draught barrier is removed. This will also house the Ecoflap fixing
screws.
The Ecoflap will accommodate post up to 260mm (10.25") wide and 42mm (approx 1.75") high.
The Ecoflap will draught proof a hole up to 80mm (over 3.125") high and over 300mm (12") wide.
My outside plate on my letter box is metal. Will it be compatible with a plastic one inside?
It will be good for! A metal plate can contribute to cold air being conducted through to the inside plate and
consequently inside your house. If the inside plate is ABS - a form of plastic - it will act as a barrier having
lower thermal conducting properties.

My doors bang when there is a "through" draught - will it stop this?
It will certainly help the situation. There is no passage of air through the plate, in either direction.

Why is it safer?
There are no springs, magnets or catches to bite fingers - or damage mail.

Why is it so simple to use?
It is light weight and conveniently operated with one hand. It adjusts to the size of delivery and there are no
components to break. The product is easily fitted having a small lip along the lower edge that rests ontoyour existing lower ledge of your aperture. This lines up perfectly with the outside plate. There will be aesthetic screw caps, one for each corner.
