The Rutland 910-3 wind chargers capacity is best suited for Professional applications such as monitoring, telemetry, communications, isolated agricultural uses, navigation aids, military field applications, rural street lighting, and remote homes.
The Furlmatic incorporates a 3 phase alternator as used in the Rutland 913 which delivers 25% more power than the original model, The Furlmatic model has a "furling" device that tilts the turbine horizontally at right angles to the prevailing wind at wind speeds above 35mph. This protects the turbine from the forces of excessive winds and reduces stresses on the turbine and tower.
