Solar Sun Pool Rings
The Solar Sun pool ring is a passive solar pool heating device made from two sheets of heavy weight Ultraviolet resistant vinyl. The upper clear layer holds insulating air and focuses sunlight on the blue colored lower layer. The blue layer absorbs about 50% of the sunlight and converts it to heat. The balance of the sunlight is allowed to pass through for deep water heating.
The Pool Rings use the sun's free energy as solar water heating to increase your pool temperature by an average of 1/2 degree per day and at night the contained air acts as an insulating blanket to retain heat gained during daylight. Each ring is capable of generating 21,000 BTU's per day
Made of UV-Resistant poly vinyl the Solar Sun Pool Ring is a unique new product it is easy to put into and take out of the pool and are easy to store, transport and look after.
For maximum efficiency it is recommended that you cover approximately 70%-80% of the pool with Sun Rings for maximum effect ignoring the triangles between the rings.
Sun Rings have six magnets built in to improve clarity and decrease hardness of the water in your pool. The magnets are positioned to facilitate rafting. The strength of the magnets will permit single position removal but will easily separate to prevent entrapment in accidental falls.
Solar Sun Rings were designed to be compatible with automatic pool cleaners. In the event the suction hose catches on a ring, the ring will separate from the raft to allow the pool cleaner to continue.
Pool chemicals will not evaporate through the two layers of heavy weight vinyl.
Once the water in your pool has reached the required temperature the Rings can be turned over which will limiting evaporation without significantly heating the water.
Using the solar rings
Heating: Once the Solar Sun Rings are inflated, cover up to 70% to 80% of the surface of your pool with Solar Sun Rings by placing the blue coloured side on the water. You should cover no more than 70% of the surface on deep pools and not more than 80% on shallow pools. For the best solar effect, keep the upper surface of the Solar Sun Rings clean and uncovered.
Cooling: Turn the Solar Sun Rings over so the blue side is up. The Solar Sun Rings will not heat water efficiently when turned upside down.
Solar Sun Rings use less chemicals: Water or chemicals cannot evaporate through the two layers of heavyweight vinyl. You will save on water and chemicals about equal to the actual percentage of water covered.
Care of the Solar Rings: Proper care of this product will greatly extend its useful life. Do not walk on or drag on an abrasive surface. When Solar Sun Rings are not on the pool water do not stack them in direct sunlight, excessive internal temperatures will develop and melt the vinyl films.The PVC construction of the solar rings allows for easy cleaning using a mild detergent solution.

Solar Rings come with a Two year manufacturer's warranty.
Each ring is 1.5m in diameter. They are easy to store, deploy & remove and will fit all pools .
Solar Sun Rings may be used on all chlorine or salt water system pools, in ground or above ground.
Solar Sun Rings can be easily cleaned with a sponge and mild detergent solution after removing from the pool.
